Microsoft Outlook is the most popular email client among Windows users. It’s not just an email client, it’s more than that. Many times in my previous posts, I’ve discussed Outlook client and its extraordinary features. This time, I’ll show you how to add multiple PST files in Outlook at once. If you have few PST files, i.e. 5-10, you should try an easy manual trick that I’ll share later in this post. But if you have a large number of PST files, you should definitely consider using a professional solution.
Microsoft Outlook creates an Outlook data file that stores almost everything which includes email messages, contacts, calendars, tasks, notes, journals, and much more including the attachments. The Outlook data file is commonly known as PST or personal storage table. An Outlook user can have one, two or multiple PST files. There’s no such restriction for creating and/or adding PST files to Outlook clients.
There might be any reason for adding PST files to the Outlook profile. For e.g., if you’ve switched to a new organization, you have to add the old PST file to your new Outlook profile in order to access your old mailbox content. Or, if you’ve changed your computer system, again you need to add the old PST file in order to access your mailbox content. Apart from these two, there could be numerous other reasons due to which you need to add the PST file to the Outlook profile.
If you’re looking for manual solutions to add PST file, then you have two options. You can try any of the two below solutions:
Step1: First of all, open Microsoft Outlook on your system. Then click the File tab on the taskbar, and point to Info in the options.
Step 2: Click the Account Settings tab and select Account Settings… in the options.
Step 3: On the Account Settings dialog box, click the Data Files tab.
Step 4: You can see the Add… button on the taskbar. Click it to add a new PST file to your Outlook profile.
Step 5: Browse the location where your PST files are stored. Select one PST file at a time, and click OK to add PST file to Outlook.
For other PST files follow the same steps to add/import old PST file back into Outlook.
This time, you can use another option of MS Outlook client.
Step1: Again, open Microsoft Outlook client on your system. This time, click the Home tab on the taskbar.
Step 2: You can see New Items section just below the taskbar. Click it to see the options.
Step 3: In the options, point to More Items and click Outlook Data File…
Step 4: Now browse the location where your PST files are stored. Select one PST file at a time, and click OK to add PST file to Outlook.
There’s one more thing you can try here. You can simply use the Import feature of MS Outlook client to add PST file to your Outlook profile.
Unlike adding multiple PST files to Outlook profile (one by one) manually, you should try the Add Outlook PST Software. Why? It’s safe, quick and most importantly easy to use. Any technical or non-technical user can use this software with ease. The above manual trick may take ample time. Also, the task might be cumbersome. So if you’re looking for a quick and easy way to add multiple pst files in outlook at once the Add Outlook PST software best fits your needs. During PST files addition, it causes no alteration or any sort of data loss. It supports PST files of both ANSI and Unicode formats created by all major versions of MS Outlook including the latest 2016. It has only one limitation, make sure the PST files which you’re going to add to your Outlook profile, are not corrupt.
First, you must repair the PST file before you can add it to Outlook. You can use the scanpst.exe utility to repair PST file.
